Yes. GELFX Nail Color is our gel nail color system designed to cure with UV/LED light using our LED 900 FX lamp. Each GELFX product cures for 30 seconds in our 900 FX Lamp with the exception of our No Cleanse Topcoat which cures for 60 seconds.
Contrary to popular belief, the wavelength of light used to cure gels is absolutely safe. While there have been misleading articles and studies done with incomparable variables to typical usage, you don’t have to worry about the minimal UV/LED exposure from biweekly manicures. Expo sure is equivalent to taking a walk for 10 minutes on a mildly sunny day. For more information, take a listen to this episode of It’s A Nail Thing with Doug Schoon. https://shows.acast.com/its-a-nail-thing/episodes/are-uv-nail-lamps-dangerous
To remove GELFX color, file the top layer of gel to break the seal and ensure acetone will penetrate the product. Soak the cotton pad of your Foil Remover Wraps with Genius Remover and tightly wrap ensuring the cotton pad is directly on top of your nail. Let soak for 10 minutes. Remove the wraps one at a time and gently push off the flaked up gel from the nail plate. Do not use heavy pressure. If there is any excess gel, replace your Foil Remover Wrap and let soak for another 2 minutes.
All gels (with the exception of our No Cleanse Topcoat) cure with an inhibition layer. This layer, also known as a “tacky layer”, is created when oxygen inhibits the very top layer from fully curing. This is intentional as it creates a grippy surface for the next layer to adhere to. Remember, shiny doesn’t stick to shiny! But please DO NOT TOUCH the inhibition layer as uncured gel can cause skin irritations. Remember, gel products are made for nails and should never touch the skin. When you’ve finished your Builder manicure, if you’ve opted for our original GELFX Topcoat, remove the inhibition layer with a lint-free wipe and 99% alcohol to reveal your shine. Or use our No Cleanse Topcoat to skip this step!
Nope! All of our nail products are developed with your nail health in mind. Our products will not damage your nails when used properly with the exception of extremely rare allergic reactions. Nail damage comes from improper use and improper removal of nail products. Always be sure to follow application and removal protocols for best results!
What you’re referring to is a heat spike. Heat spikes are actually fiction burns. When gels cure, the molecules are running around to link up with each other and they can bump into each other on the way to link up. When too many molecules bump into each other it creates friction which generates heat. This happens when applying your gel layers too thick. Damaged, thin nails will be more sensitive to this phenomenon. To avoid it, make sure to apply thin layers of your gel products. If you do feel a heat spike when your nails are curing in your 900 FX LED Lamp, immediately remove your hand for 2-3 seconds and then go back in for a full cure. This will give your nails time to cool down to prevent the heat spike from occurring. We also recommend trying out the variable low-heat mode on our 900 FX LED lamp which gradually increases the strength of the light in 10 second increments to prevent heat spikes.

Not exactly a bright pink but it resembles a pink balloon shine. If you’re looking for subtle, this is it.

I really like this pink, it's not too red or orangey. It is a good spring/ summer shade. It is easy to apply and has a good duration (I usually go for a mani/ pedi every 2 weeks).
